Mad Monkey Hostel Coogee Beach - Randwick

Excellent location right on Coogee Beach, with easy access to public transportation. Friendly and helpful staff, who were accommodating and made me feel welcomed. Great kitchen facilities and a spacious social area. Generous breakfast and clean bedding. Highly recommended to fellow travelers.

I loved staying here! The hotel had some amazing facilities, including a really nice public space for people to eat and a warm shower to use after a long day at the beach. I also found the location to be perfect, as it was right by a beach, making it easy to enjoy the sand and surf. The staff was also really friendly and cute, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for affordable accommodations where you can meet amazing people from all over the world.

Nothing not too like.

Had a decent location close to the beach and cafes, free breakfast was a bonus. the staff was helpful with directions to local attractions and there were some nice walks nearby. Rooms were clean, we had a view of the beach and beds were comfortable.

The atmosphere didn't feel very welcoming. It just didn't feel like anyone was interested in talking to each other.

I had a great experience at Mad Monkey! the receptionist, Darren, was incredibly professional and treated the hostel like a top, notch resort. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. the location is excellent, right next to Coogee beach. the staff at reception are lovely and always up for a friendly chat. the hostel has a sociable and welcoming atmosphere, it feels like a family here. the view from the breakfast area is beautiful and it's great that there's a discount at the bar. the facilities are well, maintained, with a convenient walk, in fridge and easy access in and out. the staff are friendly and happy to help. The beds are comfortable and the bed linen is clean and soft. Cons: Nothing not to like.

mad monkey coogee beach was even better than my last stay in randwick. the location was incredible, right by the beach and close to everything i needed. the staff were super friendly and the communal space had the most amazing views. definitely coming back for their christmas party next year!

breakfast disappointment

We had a fantastic view of Coogee Beach right from the lounge. It was amazing to wake up and see the beautiful beach right outside our window. The location of the hotel was also perfect, with restaurants, shops, and public transportation all within close proximity.

Great location near the beach and coastal walk, communal space has fantastic views and is cozy.

Bathrooms were outdated and lacked basic toiletry storage, while small. Lockers were pay-to-use and the only in-room storage were plastic tubs.

We loved this place! The location was absolutely amazing, just steps away from one of the best beaches we've visited in Australia. It was so convenient to have the beach right in front of us, perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. The dining area was also great, providing a comfortable place for us to enjoy our meals.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

I recently spent my Christmas vacation at a beachfront hostel in Coogee and had an amazing time! The location was absolutely fantastic, with the beach just steps away and a bustling area filled with restaurants, bars, and shops right around the corner. It was so convenient to have everything within walking distance and made exploring the area a breeze. Another great aspect of the hostel was the friendly staff who were always available to help and make recommendations. They really added to the overall positive experience.

While there were many things to love about this hostel, there were a few minor drawbacks. First, the kitchen was quite small, especially when there were a lot of people trying to cook at the same time.

From the hostel, you can take a refreshing shower without worrying about getting your bags wet. There are plenty of cozy spots to relax and take in the scenery. the staff is helpful and accommodating.
